Post Falls Idaho

This was the first week that I have traveled to Idaho to teach. I'm flying from Seattle to Spokane and staying Friday through Tuesday. I'm staying at a place called the Red Lion Templin It's right on the Spokane River in Post Falls Idaho. Not knowing too much about Idaho beforehand I was quite surprised that it is really beautiful with lots of mountains, lakes, rivers and forests. Unfortunately there aren't potatoes growing on the sidewalks as I had expected, although their license plate does say, "famous potatoes."

I teach in Cour d'lane, which is a little bit bigger than Post Falls, but is quaint little town. People in Idaho seem friendly and helpful, and my kids told me there is lots of prairie land, so maybe that's where the potatoes are?
